More Than 50% Of All Credit Card Holders Use Their Cards For Everyday Spending

Tired of paying overpriced merchants fees just so you can accept credit cards at your business?

Fed up with sales reps making empty promises about lowering your rates?

Well, you’re about to discover a better way to accept credit cards in your business.

And you won’t pay one red cent for it either!

But let’s review the more expensive way first …

This Is How A Typical Surcharge Program Works

You have the ability to charge customers a convenience fee for using a credit card when paying through a non-customary payment channel. For example, if you take most of your payments in person, you can add a surcharge for payments that come in through a less often used channel like the telephone.

If you always charge customers a fee during credit card transactions, regardless of how it takes place, it’s called a surcharge. Surcharges are illegal in 10 states:

If you live in one of those states, you’re losing anywhere between 2% to 4% due to your business paying credit card processing fees on each transaction. As you already know, those fees are quite substantial by the end of the year.

If you live in one of the 40 states where passing on the surcharge fee is legal you assume another risk. You risk alienating customers when they see that they have incurred a surcharge on their receipt after paying with cash.

Freedom Is Different Because It's A Cash Discount Program

Business owners love using our cash discount program.

Here’s why …

Instead of losing 2% to 4% of their revenue to credit card processing fees on each transaction, they get to keep it!

Cash discount programs are on the rise across the United States. However, they’ve actually been available for decades.

Perhaps you’ve seen them around at gas stations. They’ve been using them for many years. Fill up your tank and pay cash. Then pay a little bit less for each gallon. Fill up and pay with a credit card. Then expect to pay the exact price listed at the gas pump.

Our cash discount program works the same way. It rewards people who pay with cash by discounting their price. But it enables you to legally pass on the 2% to 4% surcharge fee to anyone paying with a major credit card. So, you never accumulate those costs. Just enjoy more profits to your bottom line!

Surcharge Fees Can Alienate Customers Who Pay With Cash

Some customers are scrupulous when it comes to their spending habits. Imagine that person coming home, unpacking goods, then taking time to review their receipt. Now imagine that person paid with cash during the visit. When they look at their bill, they see a surcharge on it. That diligent person is likely to think that you’re practicing shady business tactics.

Cash Discounting Creates A Win-Win Scenario With Customers

When scrupulous customers pay with cash, they’ll be delighted to see that they received a 2% to 4% discount on their bill.  Those that choose to pay with credit simply pay the price as advertised because the processing fee is already built into the cost.

Cash Payment versus Credit Card Payment

A Cash Payment Scenario

A customer in a grocery store walks up to the register with a cart full of products. She sees a sign next to the register explaining that a 4% service charge is added to the final bill. But paying with cash will instantly get her a 4% discount.

The cashier scans the products and they total $60. However, the customer tells the clerk that she’s going to pay with cash. So, she qualifies for the 4% discount as advertised at the register.

The cashier makes note of this fact and hits a key on the register. Now the cash amount due is $57.60. The customer just instantly saved $2.40.

Now the scrupulous spender has nothing to get upset about. Because they don’t see some shady surcharge on their receipt. It’s like they’ve been rewarded for paying with cash instead!

Credit Card Payment Scenario

A customer in a grocery store walks up to the register with a cart full of products. She sees a sign next to the register explaining that a 4% service charge is added to the final bill. But paying with cash will instantly get her a 4% discount.

The cashier scans the products and they total $60. However, the customer proceeds to pay with her credit card anyway. The total price at checkout is still $60. That’s an extra $2.40 fee for using credit.

The customer inserts her credit card into the payment terminal and pays the $60 to cover the cost of using credit.

In this scenario, the customer expected to pay the additional charge for not paying with cash. It’s possible that she desired to pay for the products at a later date instead of going for instant savings. Regardless, the price is the same as advertised with an additional $2.40 fee for using credit. Bringing her total to $62.40.

In each of these scenarios, the customer brought $60 worth of groceries to the register. However, the cash-paying customer paid $2.40 less, while the credit card user paid $2.40 more.

Paying with a credit card was probably a convenience, but that particular customer incurred the credit card processing fee so that the business did not have to cover that cost.

In a nutshell, the cash discount program enables the business to receive payment in full for each transaction without incurring credit card processing fees.

Credit Card Use Is On The Rise

In the U.S., it’s estimated that 71% of consumers have at least one credit card.  Many of those consumers have at least 4 credit cards at their disposal.  There’s a high probability that you’re going to see a lot of transactions involving the use of credit.  Especially since some of those people want to accumulate points to earn frequent flyer miles and other rewards.

Do you really want to accumulate all of those transaction fees

Probably not!
