We’re so glad you asked. The PaymentUSA Freedom program utilizes the “Cash Discount Model” and simply applies the small fee you would normally have to pay on a transaction to the customer’s bill.
This is a very small amount for a single customer to pay, but calculates to HUGE savings, when you consider that merchant’s normally would cover all processing fees without this program.
The Cash Discount program is available in all 50 states.
The short answer is NO. Most customers are fine with paying this convenience fee, as it is very common practice for businesses to charge convenience fees.
However, with the “Cash Discount Model” you would simply offer cash customers a small discount since they are paying in cash.
We have you covered here also. The customer can either pay cash to avoid the small fee, or they can use a debit card instead of a credit card.
Our terminals can be programmed to allow debit cards to be processed as cash. This option would simply have you “the store owner” paying the debit card fees.
If you choose to pass both debit and credit card fees to the customer, you will save 100% on your processing volume. However, if you choose to process debit cards as “cash,” you “the merchant” would pay the debit card fees.
