Worldpay Credit Card Processing Fees: The Full Picture
Searching for Worldpay's rates? Here's the honest answer up front: for US merchants, there aren't any published rates to find. What that means โ and how to protect yourself when pricing is quote-only.
The 30-second answer
Worldpay does not publish its US credit card processing rates. As of September 3, 2026, its US small-business page โ built around the Commerce360 POS โ lists no percentages, no per-transaction fees, and no monthly fees. Pricing is quote-only, through a sales conversation.
That's not automatically a bad deal โ custom pricing can be fair. But it means you can't budget, and you can't comparison-shop, until you have a written quote in hand. A quote-only price is only as good as the quote you put next to it.
Worldpay is part of Global Payments, which completed its acquisition of the company from FIS and GTCR on January 12, 2026. The scale is genuinely large: Worldpay reports processing $2.3 trillion annually.
What Worldpay Is Genuinely Good At
Start with the strengths, because they're real. Worldpay is one of the largest payment processors in the world โ by its own account it processes$2.3 trillion annually for major brands, with deep enterprise and global e-commerce reach. Since January 12, 2026 it has been part of Global Payments, and the combined company reports serving more than 6 million merchant locations across 175+ countries.
The positive reviews are real too. Happy Trustpilot reviewers praise knowledgeable account managers, fast issue resolution, and smooth onboarding. On the US small-business side, the offering centers on the Commerce360 POS, payment devices, and dispute-management services. In the UK, Worldpay advertises no joining fee and next-day settlement.
If you're a large or multinational business that needs one processor across many markets, Worldpay belongs on your shortlist. The question this page exists to answer is different: what does it cost a US small business โ and why is that so hard to find out?
Worldpay Publishes No US Processing Rates
We went looking for Worldpay's US pricing so you don't have to. As of September 3, 2026: the US small-business page listsno rates at all โ no percentage, no per-transaction fee, no monthly fee. Every path leads to "talk to sales." The UK small-business page is the same story: "tailored custom pricing plans," no numbers.
The closest thing to published pricing anywhere on Worldpay's site is aUK-only quote calculator, which displays a handful of fee line items it explicitly labelsindicative only: a 4.5p authorisation fee, ยฃ20 per terminal per month, a ยฃ5/month PCI DSS service fee, a ยฃ15 minimum monthly service charge, and a ยฃ20 chargeback fee. Those are UK indicative figures in pounds โ they tell a US merchant nothing about what a US account costs, and even the calculator doesn't show a card rate until you feed it your turnover details.
Here's why this matters more than it might seem. When a processor publishes no rates, you can't budget โ there's no number to plug into your margins before the sales call. Andyou can't comparison-shop โ a quote-only price has no public benchmark, so the only way to know whether your quote is good is to hold it against a competing quote for the same volume and card mix. Merchants who negotiate with one quote in hand pay whatever that quote says.
You may also find third-party review sites quoting specific legacy Worldpay plan rates. We couldn't verify any of those numbers on Worldpay's own current pages, so we won't repeat them here. For how quote-only pricing compares to the pricing models that are published โ flat-rate, tiered, and interchange-plus โ see our credit card processing fees comparison, and run your own numbers through the processing fee calculator.
What Worldpay Merchants Say
As of September 2026, Worldpay holds a4.2/5 on Trustpilot from 10,401 reviews โ a solid score, with an important caveat: those reviewers are predominantly UK-based, so the picture is UK-weighted rather than a read on the US merchant experience. The distribution is also polarized โ roughly 70% five-star against 25% one-star, with little in between.
The negative reviews cluster around a few themes: cancellation and termination costs (which some reviewers describe as exorbitant), unresponsive support during critical problems, unexplained transaction delays and holds, and miscommunication during account approval. Worth underlining: Worldpay publishes no US early termination fee amount, so the cancellation-cost complaints are reviewer reports, not a published fee schedule โ which is itself part of the transparency problem.
On the US side, Worldpay's Better Business Bureau profile (Cincinnati, OH) shows an A+ rating โ though the business is not BBB Accredited โ with235 complaints filed in the last three years, 138 of them closed in the last twelve months. For a processor of Worldpay's size that volume isn't shocking, but it's a US data point the UK-heavy Trustpilot score doesn't capture.
Five Things to Get in Writing From Worldpay
These questions apply to Worldpay โ and to any processor whose pricing is quote-only. If a sales rep won't put an answer on paper, treat that as the answer.
The full fee schedule, in writing
Not just the headline rate. Ask for every line item that will appear on your statement: per-transaction fees, monthly fees, batch fees, PCI program fees, gateway fees, statement fees. If a fee isn't in the written quote, ask whether it can appear later โ and get that answer in writing too.
Contract length and the early termination fee
Ask exactly how long the agreement runs, whether it auto-renews, and what leaving early costs โ as a specific dollar amount or formula, on paper. Worldpay publishes no US contract length or termination fee schedule on its site, so the contract you sign is the only place this number exists. Read it before you sign, not after.
Monthly minimums
A monthly minimum means you pay a floor amount even in a slow month. Ask whether one applies, how it's calculated, and whether it's waivable. Seasonal businesses get hurt by this one more than any other.
PCI compliance fees โ both kinds
Ask what the monthly PCI program or compliance fee is, and separately, what the penalty is if your compliance validation lapses. These are two different charges, and both belong in the written quote. Our guide to the PCI non-compliance fee explains the difference.
A rate-review clause
Quoted rates can drift upward over time via notices buried in statement inserts. Ask whether the contract lets the processor raise rates unilaterally, how much notice you get, and whether a rate increase gives you the right to exit without a penalty.
How Payment USA Does It Differently
We're a competitor, so weigh this section accordingly โ but the contrast is exactly the point of this page. Payment USA uses interchange-plus pricing: you pay the card networks' actual wholesale cost plus a fixed, disclosed markup, so the margin is visible on every transaction instead of buried in a custom quote. There are no long-term contracts and no cancellation fees โ the answers to questions 2 and 5 above are "month-to-month" and "nothing."
And if you'd rather see numbers than promises, that's what our free statement analysis is for: send a recent statement and we'll show you, line by line, what you're paying now and what the same volume costs on interchange-plus. Even if you end up choosing Worldpay, walking into that sales call with a competing written quote is the single best negotiating move available to you.

Worldpay Fee Questions, Answered
How much does Worldpay charge for credit card processing?+
Worldpay does not publish standard US credit card processing rates. As of September 2026, its US small-business page lists no percentages, per-transaction fees, or monthly fees โ pricing is quote-only through its sales team. The only way to know what Worldpay would charge your business is to request a custom quote, and the only way to know whether that quote is competitive is to put a second quote next to it.
Who owns Worldpay now?+
Worldpay is part of Global Payments. Global Payments completed its acquisition of Worldpay from FIS and GTCR on January 12, 2026. If you see Worldpay described as an FIS company or a GTCR portfolio company, that information is out of date.
Does Worldpay charge an early termination fee?+
Worldpay publishes no US contract length or early termination fee schedule on its website, so we can't quote a number โ and neither can any review site, honestly. What we can say: cancellation and termination costs are a recurring complaint theme among Worldpay's Trustpilot reviewers, some of whom describe the fees as exorbitant. Before signing, get the contract term and any exit cost in writing as a specific dollar amount or formula.
Is Worldpay good for small businesses?+
Worldpay's scale is real โ it reports processing $2.3 trillion annually, and its US small-business offering centers on the Commerce360 POS with payment devices and dispute-management services. The trade-off for a small business is transparency: with no published US rates, you can't evaluate the price until you're already in a sales conversation. If you go that route, bring a competing interchange-plus quote so the conversation has a reference point.
